So, what exactly is the VMC?

The VMC (Voluntary Math Challenge) is just that- it's a voluntary mathematics challenge test for all forms of mathematicians. We are unaffiliated with any formal mathematical organization, and provide this test solely to test your math and logic skills.
The great part about the VMC (besides the fact that it's free) is that you don't need a strong mathematical background to take it! There's no calculus here, and knowledge of topology will just get you confused doing the grids. While other tests measure breadth of mathematical knowledge, the VMC measures your ability to apply basic mathematical concepts in difficult and creative ways.
You won't find the answers on this website... keep at it! But when the next VMC comes out, we'll release answers to the previous one, but we won't provide explanations.
